Shipping Group Lead

Overhead Door (Wayne Dalton) in Pensacola Florida is looking for a Shipping Group Lead. The Shipping Group Lead is responsible for providing leadership to up to 20 employees within the shipping department. This role requires direct supervision, mentoring, and training team members to ensure daily schedule completion and adherence to quality, safety, and inventory standards. The Group Lead acts as a key liaison between floor operations and supervisory management, ensuring that shipping activities meet or exceed performance benchmarks while maintaining a safe and compliant work environment.

• Supervise and guide a team of up to 20 employees, ensuring production and shipping goals are met daily.
• Mentoring and training employees to enhance team performance and skill levels.
• Drive schedule completion while maintaining product quality standards.
• Manage inventory reporting accuracy for raw materials and finished products.
• Ensure compliance with safety, PPE, and quality guidelines.
• Maintain effective communication with management, team members, and other departments.
• Review and interpret instructions, both written and oral, to ensure understanding and proper execution.
• Act professionally, demonstrating good listening, verbal, and team-building skills.
• Enforce safety regulations and PPE requirements across the department.
• Attend collaboration and visual scheduling meetings in the supervisor’s absence.
• Utilize company software proficiently for operational and reporting purposes.
• Perform tasks associated with the shipping department, including physical activities like lifting, bending, crouching, and reaching.

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Sufficient experience in a shipping or production environment.
• Powered Industrial Truck certification required.
• Ability to lift/carry 200-250 pounds repetitively and up to 315 pounds with assistance.
• Capable of standing for up to 90% of the shift.
• Must be able to perform continuous physical activities including lifting, bending, crouching, and reaching.
• Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
• Good communication skills, both verbal and written.

• Pay Rate: $22-$24/hr
• Schedule: 5:00 AM-2:30PM, Monday-Friday
