Mechanical Assembler
Job Description
- With minimal supervision, perform assembly and testing of wind turbine components. The role involves working from engineering drawings, work instructions, and wiring diagrams, ensuring precision and adherence to safety standards.
Responsibilities
Assemble and test electromechanical assemblies and sub-assemblies for wind turbine components, including installation, adhesive bonding, drilling, tapping, torqueing, lubricating, and wiring.
Work from engineering drawings, work instructions, and wiring diagrams to complete assembly tasks.
Efficiently use calibrated equipment and machinery as part of assembly processes.
Utilize various hand tools and other standard tools to complete work tasks.
Understand and utilize the proper chemicals, including safety data and shelf-life information.
Inspect the condition of incoming hardware accurately.
Follow EHS compliance for wind turbine assembly and test.
Perform complete and accurate quality documentation.
Assist in the implementation of wind turbine documentation and process improvements.
Initiate and drive process improvements.
Operate forklifts and cranes.
Maintain manual or computerized records.
Adhere to and follow all safety procedures, including lock-out/tag-out, reporting safety concerns, and using appropriate PPE as required.
Essential Skills
Assembly and production skills, including the use of hand and power tools.
Ability to read and interpret work instructions, blueprints, and mechanical diagrams.
Understanding of basic mechanical and electrical theories.
Experience in manufacturing or mechanical environments using electrical and pneumatic air hand tools.
Ability to communicate effectively and work well in a team setting.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience with Characteristic Verification Plan (CVP) processes.
Experience with installation, adhesive bonding, drilling, tapping, torqueing, lubricating, and wiring.
Experience with calibrated equipment and machinery.
Experience with chemicals and understanding of safety data.

Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Pensacola, FL.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $16.00 - $21.00/hr.
