Job Summary

The Painter must effectively and safely perform coatings application and all associated phases of industrial coatings.

• Applies coatings to various structures, tanks, piping, and miscellaneous surfaces in accordance with customers' specifications and manufacturers' recommendations.
• Assembles, maintains, repairs, and cleans painting equipment.
• Mixes and thins the coatings according to the manufacturer's recommendations.
• Constructs protective enclosures to avoid overspray of customers' equipment.
• Assists in loading, unloading, and storage of equipment and supplies.
• At all times performs work in the safest possible manner.
• Immediately corrects any unsafe condition.
• Performs onsite QA/QC functions, including paperwork and evaluation of employees.

• The painter must be highly productive, experienced in multiple crafts involved, and an expert in the use of all equipment, materials, and procedures necessary for safe and effective application of coatings.
• Must be proficient in spraying to maintain even millage.
• Must possess knowledge of and experience with different coatings (Epoxy, urethanes, polyesters, vinyl esters).
• Must have knowledge of hazardous waste management.
• Must be proficient in all safety aspects of the craft.
• Must be proficient in QA/QC requirements of the craft.
