Industrial Sewing Technician

Summary

We are seeking a detail‑oriented Industrial Sewing Technician to fabricate theatrical curtains, scenery drops, and custom fabric products. This role is ideal for someone with industrial sewing experience who takes pride in producing high‑quality work while meeting production deadlines. The ideal candidate is comfortable working with large, heavy fabrics and can work independently with minimal supervision.

• Read design drawings, sketches, specification sheets, and verbal instructions to complete custom projects
• Measure, cut, sew, and finish theatrical curtains, scenery drops, and other custom fabric products
• Operate industrial sewing machines and work on large production tables (25–40 feet)
• Install grommets, rivets, and other top finishes using hand tools
• Handle and move fabric rolls weighing up to 150 lbs. (team lift over 50 lbs.)
• Inspect finished products for quality, tag completed items, and package them for shipment
• Maintain a clean and organized work area while following company quality standards

• Previous industrial sewing experience required
• Ability to read measurements and follow drawings and specifications accurately
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform frequent tugging, pulling, standing, and repetitive movements
• Ability to work independently and meet production deadlines in a fast‑paced environment
• Non‑smoking preferred due to the handling of delicate fabrics and flame‑retardant materials

Location: Pensacola, FL
Position Type: Full-Time
Pay: $22.00/hour
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 2:30pm–11:00pm
