The Registered Nurse provides professional nursing services and patient care in a variety of settings. This position follows the established nursing process, including patient assessment, nursing diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation. The RN ensures adherence to hospital or department policies, nursing procedures, standards, and practices, managing individualized, goal‑directed nursing care through the nursing process and the principles of primary nursing in accordance with departmental and hospital policies and procedures.

What you will do:

• Assesses and diagnoses patient and family needs to provide quality care to assigned patients.
• Develops, discusses, and communicates a realistic plan of care for each patient, in collaboration with the patient and significant other, to address all identified needs.
• Demonstrates the skills and judgment necessary to implement medical plan of care, nursing interventions, and procedures as necessary for the care of the patient.
• Evaluates identified problems, care provided, and patient responses, re‑assessing to meet patient and family needs and assure overall quality of care delivered.
• Maintains up‑to‑date and accurate documentation of nursing care provided to ensure integration of information for use by the healthcare team, ensuring quality care.
• Performs all responsibilities/duties required by the emergency unit/critical care division as defined in the scope of service, to assure that the unique nature of the client is addressed, including but not limited to the age of the client served.
• Maintains current knowledge, certification, and licensure.

Minimum Education

• Technical Diploma/Certificate Nursing – Required
• Associate’s Degree Nursing – Required
• Bachelor’s Degree Nursing – Preferred

Licenses and Certifications

• Registered Nurse Licensed in State of Florida or eligible compact state – Required upon hire
• BLS for Healthcare Providers (BLS) – Required upon hire
• ACLS Provider (ACLS) – Required upon hire
• PALS Provider (PALS) – Required within 90 days
• Trauma Nurse Core Curriculum (TNCC) – Required within 2 years
• Non‑violent crisis intervention (CPI) – Required within 90 days

Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities

• Demonstrated proficiency in acute care nursing, knowledge, and skills.
