CRNA Position at Heart Hospital of Austin
CRNA Needed at Central Austin, TX Specialty Hospital. Seeking experienced providers. Cardiac orientation provided upon full-time employment!
Heart Hospital of Austin features 6 ORs and 1 EP lab in a specialty adult 72 bed facility. Surgeons are exceptionally friendly & caring with great outcomes. There is professional autonomy, including lines, within team model in an award-winning hospital; also, there are close, collaborative working relationships and access to high acuity cases outside academics. Help will always be available.
Awards: A 12-year recipient of Watson Health's 50 Top Cardiovascular Hospitals award. Ranked by Health grades as the No. 1 cardiac program in Texas for six consecutive years.
Case Assignments:
Open hearts, electrophysiology lab, endovascular, NORA, and general surgery. No OB, peds, or neuro. In 2022, there were 680 pump cases, 250 TAVRs, 65 mitral clips.
Shifts:
No call, weekends, holidays "Peel" staffing system results in some shorter, some longer days (rare overtime).

Team Highlights: 9 CRNAs, 4 MDs on staff
Requirements:
- Pre-anesthesia assessment
- Obtains and/or verifies patient consent
- Discuss anesthetic options and risks with the patient
- Induction, maintenance, and emergence from anesthesia
- Monitoring of the patient's physiological condition
- Performance of clinical intervention as needed
Requirements:
- Current license as a registered professional nurse
- Graduation from an accredited program of nurse anesthesia education
- Certified or recertified by the AANA Council on Certification of Nurse Anesthetists

Salary:
Based on years of experience: $200-230K base. Additional cardiac specialty annual stipend. Sign on Bonus: $50K. Loan repayment or training assistance program. Generous paid time off: 7-8 weeks. Generous benefits package, including:
