Job Summary
Family First Homecare seeks a RN or LPN to provide one‑to‑one pediatric home care for medically complex children in the Pensacola (32566) area. The role is urgent and requires immediate start.
Shift Schedule- Full‑Time Days: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
- Flexible Nights: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
- G‑Tube Care
- Seizure Management
- VNS Experience Preferred
- Total Care Experience
- Central Line / TPN Experience
- LPN applicants must possess an active IV Certification
- Provide comprehensive nursing services in the patient’s home, following Family First Homecare policies and state/federal regulations.
- Maintain accurate clinical records and meet documentation deadlines.
- Assess and evaluate nursing care effectiveness, consulting with physicians as needed.
- Document care plan changes and report to nurse supervisor.
- Mentor and coach new employees during patient orientations.
- Educate patients and caregivers on care topics.
- Participate in Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement activities.
- Complete mandatory training and in‑service requirements.
- Submit required personnel file documentation promptly.
- Maintain patient and family confidentiality and professional communications.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
- LPN/LVN Nursing Degree and active license in the state of employment or a Multi‑State license via the Enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact.
- Minimum 1 year of demonstrated experience.
- Valid driver’s license with proof of insurance (where applicable).
- Clear background screening and applicable state health screenings (Hep B, TB).
- Current CPR certification with in‑person instructor‑led skill check.
- Proficiency in reading and communicating in English verbally and in writing.
- Work performed in patients’ homes; minimal exposure to adverse conditions.
- Training may occur in an office setting.
- Ability to lift up to 35 pounds without assisted devices.
- Frequent use of telephone, computer, and printer.
