Job Summary
Seeking a qualified Endoscopy/GI RN to provide direct patient care in the Endoscopy/GI Lab setting. This role involves preparing patients for procedures, assisting physicians during endoscopic examinations, and providing post‑procedure care.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare patients for endoscopic procedures, including reviewing medical history and educating patients about the procedure.
- Administer pre‑procedure medications as ordered.
- Monitor vital signs and patient condition during and immediately after procedures.
- Assist physicians with endoscopic procedures, ensuring a sterile environment and providing necessary instruments and supplies.
- Provide post‑procedure care, including recovery monitoring and patient education for discharge.
- Document patient care accurately and comprehensively in the electronic health record.
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment.
- Respond to patient needs and emergencies promptly and effectively.
40 weekly hours.
On Call Requirement- Weekdays: 1630 - 0700.
- Weekends:
Saturday and Sundays, 24‑hour shifts.
Every fourth weekend.
Holiday RequirementAny holiday that falls on a regularly scheduled shift.
Required Qualifications- Must have in‑room procedural experience.
- BLS
- ACLS
- Endoscopy/GI Lab experience.
- Experience with electronic charting systems.
