Lakeview Center Overview

Lakeview Center provides comprehensive behavioral health care to adults and children with mental illnesses, drug and alcohol dependencies, and intellectual disabilities. Across Northwest Florida, our services range from residential treatment to outpatient counseling, psychiatry, trauma care, treatments for substance misuse and 24/7 support for those with serious mental illnesses.

The CSU is a 24‑hour continuous‑operations unit that serves voluntary clients as well as individuals admitted under the Baker Act or Marchman Act. Clients served are 18 years of age or older. Services support recovery and resilience, reduce symptoms and needs, and improve functioning.

Primary duty is to perform work requiring advanced knowledge (License) and to use such advanced knowledge to consistently exercise discretion and independent judgment in providing the highest quality client‑centered therapeutic services to mental health, substance abuse, or developmentally disabled clients. The position serves as a consultant and mentor to other direct‑care employees, guides treatment planning, directs assessment, manages client risk and safety, and ensures compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and organizational standards.

• Graduate of an accredited nursing school.
• Valid license as a Registered Nurse in Florida.
• Certified in CPR.
• Proficient in client/patient behavior management techniques (CPI) with appropriate training.
• Capable of providing individualized, integrated mental health, substance abuse, and co‑occurring services to meet the needs of clients and their families.
• Successfully pass organizational screening requirements, including state or federal background checks as appropriate.

Base pay ranges from $27.40 – $33.55 an hour based on experience, with additional supplemental pay (up to 8% of base pay) for the CSU. Shift differential pay is $6.00 – $10.00 per hour when applicable.

A Level II background screening is required, in accordance with HB531 and Florida Agency for Health Care Administration regulations.
