Nurse Educator
The School of Nursing at the University of West Florida (UWF), Pensacola, Florida invites applications for a 12-month Lecturer position (#124250).
The salary for this in-person, non-tenure eligible position will be commensurate with experience.
Primary Qualifications Include- Primarily be assigned to the pre-licensure nursing program and will teach in the classroom, online, and clinical settings on the Pensacola campus and at local community partner locations.
- Use of technology in the classroom and online, and teaching students in a broad range of clinical settings that align with the faculty member's expertise.
- This position may be assigned to teach in the RN to BSN, MSN, or FNP programs based on departmental needs.
Minimum qualifications for the position include having earned a master's degree in nursing from an accredited institution, or a bachelor's degree in nursing and a master's degree in a closely related field. Holds an unrestricted Florida license as a Registered Nurse or eligible for licensure as a registered nurse in the State of Florida. One or more years' work experience as a Registered Nurse in one of the following specialties: acute care, medical surgical, pediatrics, or mental health nursing.
Preferred Qualifications For This Position Include- Earned a doctoral degree (PhD, EdD, DNP) in nursing, education, or a health-related field from an accredited institution.
- One or more years' work experience teaching pre-licensure students in the classroom and clinical setting.
- Familiarity with the American Association of Colleges of Nursing Essentials.
