The Quality Leader has ownership for both quality assurance and quality control associated with the assigned manufacturing facility. This includes quality assurance of products, services, and manufacturing processes as well as conformance in manufacturing, incoming goods control, product inspection, witness points, etc.
The role is guided by operating policy and owns/influences budgets and operating plans. The role has autonomy within the operational area within a larger business unit and works with cross functional teams to meet business needs across the organization. High levels of judgment and operational acumen are required to achieve outcomes.

Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Implementation of quality objectives in accordance with the strategy of the Sector and the Business Group to achieve the assumed quality results.
- Implementation and enforcement of the Quality Policy common to GE Vernova factories in the subordinate area.
- Promoting Quality Culture and planning and supervising the implementation of activities resulting from the Quality Culture Plan.
- Ensuring the proper functioning of quality control processes to meet the Client's requirements, including compliance with construction and technological documentation and control plans.
- Responsibility for managing production nonconformities - analysis of causes, identification and implementation of corrective and preventive actions in order to continuously reduce the costs of poor quality and increase customer satisfaction.
- Initiating and supervising the implementation of Root Cause Analysis (RCA) using standard methodologies and ensuring effective corrective and preventive action plans.
- Analyzing feedback from external and internal customers (m.in. complaints, surveys, audits) and planning and supervising the implementation of activities in the subordinate area.
- Supporting the implementation, maintenance and further development of the Quality Management System in accordance with the GE Vernova Management System and the requirements of ISO standards.
- Cooperation with authorized bodies in the field of ISO Quality Management System certification process, data preparation and participation in audits.
- Cooperation with the owners of the Department's processes in the field of monitoring, reporting quality indicators and initiating the necessary corrective and preventive actions.
- Implementation and supervision of the use of effective prevention methods and tools to analyze risks and predict problems (e.g. FMEA).
- Participation and supervision over the process of developing and implementing quality plans and documentation concerning quality control methods.
- Participation in the process of evaluation of measurement systems (MSA) and supervision of the application of MSA results in practice.
- Ensuring the implementation of activities resulting from the Quality Management System Review and defect prevention plans in the subordinate area.
- Cooperation in the development of annual internal audit plans and supervision over their implementation in accordance with the adopted schedule.
- Collaborate with facilities across the GE Vernova sector to share and implement best practices ("Lessons Learnt", "Read Across", etc.).
- Developing, verifying and supervising the application of Quality System documentation in the subordinate area.
- Ensuring the appropriate qualifications and skills of internal auditors, NDT technicians and quality control inspectors, including the identification of training needs.
- Participation in work directly related to quality control, including supervision over measurements, processing of results and preparation of measurement documentation.
- Enforcing subordinate employees stop the process when inconsistencies or doubts are detected (STOP WORK) and immediately report on tool damage, incompleteness of workstations or deviations from the technological regime.
- Building the Built in Quality (BiQ) system into the factory.
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college with 5+ years of quality leadership experience within a lean manufacturing environment, (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 10 years of quality leadership experience in a lean manufacturing environment.)
