Description

We are currently looking for the right Full‑Time Retail Sales Associate to join our team! This position offers a base hourly rate of $15.00 to $18.00 per hour, complemented by an easily achievable commission structure that pays for every transaction processed.

Position Summary

We are seeking entry‑level, full‑time sales associates in our pawn store locations nationwide. The Pawnbroker / Retail Sales Associate works with the entire store staff to ensure excellent customer service in both the lending and retail areas. They greet, engage, and assist customers with sales, loans, and other transactions involving jewelry, general merchandise, tools, electronics, firearms (in FFL locations), and more.

Responsibilities
  • Greets and interacts with all customers to build rapport and recommend appropriate financial solutions.
  • Performs non‑management open/close procedures.
  • Maintains a clean, stocked sales floor and displays merchandise.
  • Processes sales and loan transactions in accordance with established policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Handles all cash and negotiable items following company policies.
  • Responds to incoming calls per company standards.
  • Communicates legal aspects of pawn and buy transactions to customers.
  • Communicates effectively with coworkers and managers, displaying respect and using effective tools.
  • Partners with all employees to create a positive and memorable customer experience.
  • Successfully completes assigned training.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements & Qualifications
  • Must be willing and able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Must be able to perform duties for extended periods, standing, stooping, walking, climbing, pushing, pulling, and lifting as required.
  • Ability to work with firearms and obtain firearms certification.
  • May be asked to assist customers outside the building or retrieve products from exterior storage.
  • Minimum age: 18 years.
  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
  • Strong desire to work, serve customers, and be team‑oriented.
  • Ability to multi‑task in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Proficient in basic math calculations.
  • Cash handling experience preferred.
  • Must be willing to work in multiple locations as needed.
  • Must be able to work a flexible retail schedule, including weekends and holidays.
  • Computer literate and able to operate POS systems and common office machines.

Commission Plan Information

The employee commission incentive plan is proprietary to First Cash. Pawnbrokers can earn 2–8% commission based on the gross profit of their personal performance. Detailed information will be provided during the interview process.

Additional Information

Pay rates will not be below any applicable local minimum wage requirements.
