Position: Deli Associate / Deli Employee Industry: Seafood market & gourmet deli

A deli employee works in a fast-paced seafood market and gourmet deli environment, preparing and serving deli items, assisting customers, and maintaining cleanliness and food safety standards.

• Prepare and serve deli foods (meats, cheeses, sandwiches, prepared items) soups, and breads
• Slice, weigh, package, and label products for customers
• Provide customer service and answer questions about products
• Maintain clean workstations, counters, and equipment
• Always follow food safety and sanitation guidelines
• Restock deli items and monitor inventory levels
• Work efficiently during high customer volume periods

• Strong customer service skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Basic food handling knowledge (sanitation is emphasized in seafood prep settings)
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift moderate weight (often up to ~50 lbs in food environments)
• Teamwork and communication skills
• Reliability and flexible scheduling

• Busy seafood market with high customer traffic
• Exposure to cold storage areas (refrigerators/freezers)
• Standing for long shifts
• Hands-on food preparation
