Responsibilities

• Greet and assist customers promptly: approach and acknowledge customers immediately, provide assistance and handle multiple customers efficiently.
• Understand and meet customer needs: assess customer needs, share product knowledge, answer questions, direct them to merchandise, and offer recommendations.
• Engage in suggestive selling while staying informed on product availability.
• Promote store events and promotions: inform customers about current store events, promotions, and special activities to enhance their shopping experience and drive sales.
• Resolve customer concerns: address customer issues, use product knowledge to offer alternative solutions, and aim to turn returns into exchanges when possible.
• Communicate needs to management: regularly inform management about merchandise restocking, service requirements, and any customer feedback in a timely manner.
• Support team and company goals: collaborate with the team to achieve overall store and company objectives, contributing to a positive and productive work environment.

• At least 16 years old.
• Available to work a flexible schedule.
• Comfortable with or willing to learn technology such as cash registers, handheld, and mobile devices.
• Good communicator with the ability to engage with customers.
• Ability to handle customer interactions and potential issues or concerns courteously and professionally.
• Use basic information‑gathering skills to solve problems.
• Ability to learn procedural knowledge acquired through on‑the‑job training.

• Frequently operate cash register.
• Frequently move merchandise weighing up to 25 lbs and place or remove merchandise up to a height of 5‑10 feet.
• Frequently ascend or descend ladders to retrieve and put away stock.
• Frequently kneel, bend, twist, and stoop, including in the stock room and on the sales floor.
• Frequently communicate and exchange information with customers on the telephone and face‑to‑face in the store, as well as with managers and coworkers.
• Must be able to move across the sales floor assisting customers, and to and from the stock room retrieving and putting away merchandise.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule to meet the needs of the business, which may require day, evening, weekends, and overnight shifts.
• Must be able to identify and interpret email and print instructions regarding merchandise layouts, associate schedules, and standard operating procedures.
• Must be able to remain in a stationary upright position for 80% of the time.
