Assist in training and development of Meat Department staff, starting with new employees and progressing to experienced staff;
Follow safety standards for receiving, handling and storing meat; monitor temperature controls;
Wrap and weigh meat products; maintain price book and advertisement planner adherence;
Maintain freshness and proper dating; manage product identification with PLU/UPC codes;
Support merchandising, space allocation, cleaning, sanitizing, and sign/labeling of products; ensure high customer service standards
