Springhill Suites and Towne Place Suites by Marriott What Makes a Sales and Service Coordinator for a Dual Hotel or Cluster Market with McKibbon Hospitality?

As a key member of the sales team, the Sales and Service Coordinator has influence and accountability for the revenue generation of two or more hotels while embodying McKibbon’s Guiding Principles. Reporting to the Director of Sales/Market Director of Sales, the Sales and Service Coordinator will be responsible for maintaining the highest level of competencies to help the hotel(s) achieve its business goals.

Day in the Life
  • Responsible for sales and revenue generation for segments assigned by the Director of Sales/Market Director of Sales.
  • Maintain compliance and stay up to date on new sales initiatives for the brand(s) and company.
  • Maintain positive relationships with the management company, property owners, and clients.
  • Support guest experience and satisfaction in all operations.
  • Act as the face of the properties by being actively involved in the local community.
  • Check and respond to emails and voicemails daily in a timely manner.
  • Participate in Daily Sales Stand-Up or as directed by the Director of Sales/Market Director of Sales.
  • Come prepared and participate in weekly sales meeting and be engaged in the strategic discussions.
  • Come prepared and participate in weekly revenue generation call as directed by DOS/MDOS.
  • Review daily Delphi calendar (account, group, and function traces).
  • Review Delphi task manager for past-due traces.
  • Enter all sales activities daily into Delphi in an accurate and concise way. (traces, QIC, lost business).
  • Review McKibbon Hospitality’s daily report(s) and prepare proactive sales approach based on findings. (In-house guest ledger/arrival list/booking report)
  • Research and prospect leads assigned by DOS/MDOS.
  • Prospect to set appointments/joint appointments/tours to uncover business opportunities and secure bookings.
  • Proactive sales efforts on new and existing accounts as assigned by the Director of Sales/Market Director of Sales.
  • Greet all assigned in-house meetings and groups.
  • Set-up/maintain group block on group/function schedules.
  • Provide knowledgeable input to operations team to assist in the creation of the Budget Workbook.
  • Attend sales training as recommended by your general manager and DOS/MDOS.

Requirements/Preferences
  • Associates/Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • 1-year minimum experience in hotel sales preferred
  • Preferred experience with major brands such as Marriott, Hilton, Hyatt or Starwood
  • A proven track record of meeting sales goals
  • Ability to actively support operational teams
  • Ability to implement and maintain all sales documentation
  • Ability to make revenue management decisions to effectively grow market share
  • Ability to produce proactive sales strategies through direct sales calls, prospecting for new clients, and client visits
  • Computer

    Skills:

    Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
  • Experience with Delphi Standard or Delphi FDC (highly desired)
  • Maintain a high level of professionalism, trust and responsibility
  • Demonstrates exceptional attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in all communications and documentation.
  • Must excel in high-pressure, fast-paced environments.
  • Possess strong listening skills with the ability to comprehend and address concerns and issues raised by workers, clients, and guests.
  • Must be attentive, friendly, helpful, and courteous to clients, guests, and associates.
