We’re hiring our first dedicated sales hire — not the tenth rep on a 10‑person team. The person who takes this seat will help build the playbook every future rep at Kingdom Signs will run. That’s the trade. Short‑term commission‑only, long‑term outsized leverage.
Who we areKingdom Signs & Graphics builds the signs that make businesses visible — channel letters, monument signs, vehicle graphics, dimensional letters, full property branding. We have the product. We have the production. What we don’t have yet is a sales engine — and that’s the seat we’re filling.
You wouldn’t be selling against the wind. You’d be the person installing the sails.
Who we’re looking forIn The Ultimate Sales Machine, Chet Holmes wrote that the single trait that separates great salespeople from average ones isn’t charisma, intelligence, or even product knowledge. It’s pigheaded discipline and determination — the refusal to lose. That’s who we’re hiring.
You probably:
- Have closed B2B deals in the $3K–$50K range
- Build pipeline cold and don’t wait for marketing to feed you
- Have strong opinions about CRMs, pipeline stages, and follow‑up cadences — and want to install yours
- Get bored selling commodities. You’d rather consult, design, and solve.
- Read sales books for fun. Or have at least dog‑eared one.
- Know what the “Dream 100” is and have built one before, formally or not.
- Sign industry experience is a plus, but not required. We’d rather hire a hungry, seasoned closer from a related industry — commercial services, construction, B2B equipment, print, fleet branding, commercial real estate, restaurant supply, awnings, lighting — than a sign veteran without fire. We’ll teach you the product. We can’t teach you hunger.
You will be:
- The first sales hire. Direct line to the owner — no sales manager filter.
- Handed the inbound leads we currently can’t keep up with.
- Free to build outbound pipeline with no territory restrictions.
- Co‑author of our sales playbook — pricing thresholds, qualification framework, discovery script, CRM build‑out, follow‑up cadences. You’ll write the rules the next reps run on.
- A consultant first, a closer second. Our customers buy because they trust the recommendation, not because of pressure.
- Micromanaged
- Forced onto a script
- Capped on earnings
- Stripped of accounts when you grow them
- Sold a fairy tale about how easy the first 90 days will be. They won’t be.
Most commission‑only roles are red flags. Here’s why this one isn’t.
Phase 1 — First 6 months (or until trigger hit)- 30% of Gross Profit on self‑sourced deals
- 20% of Gross Profit on inbound leads you close
- Paid weekly. Every Friday on the prior week’s collected payments. No 30‑day waits. No 60‑day surprises. You close it, the deposit hits, you get paid that Friday.
- 5–7% residual on repeat business from your accounts for 24 months. Build a book, not just a paycheck.
- $500 fast‑start bonus for closing your first deal in your first 30 days.
- No commission cap. Ever.
- 4 deals/mo: 3 self‑sourced, 1 inbound → $3,520/month → $42K/year
- 6 deals/mo: 5 self‑sourced, 1 inbound → $5,440/month → $65K/year
- 8 deals/mo: 6 self‑sourced, 2 inbound → $7,040/month → $84K/year
- 10 deals/mo: 8 self‑sourced, 2 inbound → $8,960/month → $107K/year
Sales cycle is under 30 days. Pipeline math is straightforward. A real closer hits 8–10/month within 60–90 days.
Phase 2 — The transition (written into your offer letter)When you hit either:
- 3 consecutive months at $25K+ in personal monthly Gross Profit
- 6 months from start date
the role converts to base salary + commission

- Base: $45,000
- Commission: 15% GP sourced / 10% GP inbound
- Residual stack continues
- OTE: ~$110K with stability
