Job SummaryEurofins Scientific seeks a Laboratory Analyst I for the Wet Chemistry Department. The Analyst I prepares and analyzes environmental samples using standard analytical techniques according to scientific and EPA methodology in compliance with Eurofins Quality Assurance programs and SOPs.
Responsibilities- Demonstrate and promote the company vision.
- Maintain regular attendance and punctuality.
- Apply GMP/GLP in all areas of responsibility as appropriate.
- Perform routine laboratory tasks, including:
- Preparation of samples using standard techniques.
- Performing chemical analysis using standard techniques.
- Calculating data.
- Recording and reporting data and any unusual test occurrences to the supervisor.
- Performing routine instrument maintenance.
- Ensuring compliance with Eurofins EHS and QA standards.
- Maintaining general housekeeping in the work area.
- Undergo training to become competent on complex instrumentation such as gas chromatography, gas chromatography/mass spectrometry, atomic absorption, ICP, and instrument‑specific data systems.
- Work under close supervision using routine and standard methods.
- Aliquot, weigh, and wash samples and glassware.
- Conduct all activities in a safe and efficient manner.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Ability to use calculator and apply mathematical formulas.
- Demonstrates the capacity to complete work within time and quality constraints.
- Works independently following written or verbal instructions.
- Cooperates and coordinates orally and in writing.
- Familiar with protocols in one or more of the following areas: organic preparation, metals preparation and analysis, gas chromatography, gas chromatography/mass spectrometry, radio‑chemistry, wet chemistry, high‑resolution preparation and analysis, low‑resolution preparation and analysis.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry, Biology, or related field, or equivalent experience.
- One year of college chemistry preferred.
- Laboratory experience is a plus.
- Previous production‑oriented work helpful (awareness of meeting deadlines).
- Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship.
- Professional working proficiency in English (reading, writing, and speaking).
Full‑time Sunday – Thursday (9:00 AM – 6:00 PM). Training will be Monday – Friday (9:00 AM – 6:00 PM). Pay range: $17 per hour.
