Position: Laboratory Analyst I Eurofins Environment Testing Southeast Pensacola FL

Laboratory Analyst I – Wet Chemistry

Location:

Pensacola, FL.

Eurofins is seeking a Laboratory Analyst I for the Wet Chemistry Department at the Pensacola lab.

Role:
Prepare and analyze environmental samples using standard analytical techniques according to scientific and EPA methodology, complying with Eurofins Quality Assurance programs and SOPs.

Responsibilities
  • Demonstrate and promote the company vision.
  • Maintain regular attendance and punctuality.
  • Apply GMP/GLP in all responsibilities as appropriate.
  • Perform routine lab tasks, including:
    • Preparation of samples using standard techniques.
    • Performing chemical analysis using standard techniques.
    • Calculating data.
    • Recording and reporting data and any unusual test occurrences to the supervisor.
    • Performing routine instrument maintenance.
  • Work in compliance with Eurofins EHS and QA standards.
  • Maintain general housekeeping in the work area.
  • Become trained and competent on complex instrumentation such as gas chromatography, GC/MS, atomic absorption, ICP, and instrument-specific data systems.
  • Work under close supervision using routine and standard methods.
  • Aliquot and weigh samples.
  • Wash glassware.
  • Conduct all activities in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Ideal Candidate Attributes
  • Ability to use calculator/mathematical formulas and concepts.
  • Complete work within time and quality constraints.
  • Work independently following written or verbal instructions.
  • Cooperate and coordinate orally and in writing.
  • Follow and learn appropriate protocols in one or more of the following disciplines:
    • Organic preparation.
    • Metals preparation and analysis.
    • Gas Chromatography.
    • Gas Chromatography/Mass Spectrometry.
    • Radio Chemistry.
    • Wet Chemistry.
    • High Resolution preparation and analysis.
    • Low Resolution preparation and analysis.
Basic

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry, Biology, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 1 year of college Chemistry preferred.
  • Laboratory experience is a plus.
  • Previous production-oriented work helpful (awareness and ability to meet deadlines).
Additional Information
  • Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship.
  • Professional working proficiency in English (read, write, speak).

Position is full-time Sunday – Thursday 9 am–6 pm. Training will be Monday – Friday 9 am–6 pm.

Pay range: $17/hr.
