Job Summary

This position is located in the Food and Beverage Division of the Morale, Welfare, and Recreation (MWR) Department at Naval Air Station Pensacola, FL. The incumbent will perform a variety of duties to facilitate proper usage, maintain good order, and provide excellent customer relations in and around the facility or event.

• Provide general information and answer patron questions in a pleasant and tactful fashion.
• Verify the identification of all individuals entering the facility or event and patrol the facility and adjacent grounds.
• Advise patrons when they violate facility rules and assist in patron control or apprehension when appropriate, including removing offenders or calling NAS Pensacola Security as required.
• Ensure authorized patrons use assigned areas and check the facility for security and safety hazards.
• Report fires or hazards, use fire extinguishers to extinguish small fires, and provide first aid in the event of an accident.
• Maintain all necessary logs and relieve other Host Personnel as appropriate.

• Must meet federal employment suitability requirements and successfully complete a background investigation using fingerprint identification and background inquiry forms.
• Must pass the E‑Verify employment verification check and resolve any discrepancies.
• Must complete a Personal Identity Verification (PIV) process requiring two forms of identification from the Form I‑9.
• May be required to pass pre‑employment examinations.
• Must possess a valid state driver’s license to operate motor vehicles.
• Must elect to have salary sent by direct deposit or electronic funds transfer.
• Must be registered with Selective Service (or exempt) if male and born after 12/31/1959.
• Potentially required to complete a probationary period, participate in the direct deposit pay program, and pass an employment verification (E‑VERIFY) check; REAL  passport required for entry to government facilities as of May 7 2025.

Applicants must provide sufficient experience, education, knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the duties. Specialized experience directly related to duties (e.g., knowledge of Navy and MWR policies, crowd control, alcohol and fire/emergency procedures) is required. A minimum of 3 months of customer‑service work experience is preferred. All experience, including volunteer and part‑time work, must be clearly identified with duties, responsibilities, years, and hours per week.

Experience must be supported by an occupational questionnaire and resume.
