Job Overview
College Police Officer – full‑time career service position with Pensacola State College. Responsibilities include law enforcement, security, and safety operations across campus locations, along with dispatcher duties as required.
Responsibilities- Perform law enforcement, security, and safety operations protecting life and property.
- Prevent crime and render emergency services.
- Patrol campus and regulate pedestrian and vehicular traffic.
- Write detailed reports and provide escorts for individuals.
- Transport currency.
- Carry out dispatcher duties as needed.
- Work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, and be available to serve at any PSC campus.
- High school diploma or GED equivalency.
- Valid driver’s license.
- At least six months of work experience in any field.
- Completion of Florida Criminal Justice Standard and Training Commission minimum training (F.S. 943.13 and/or 943.131).
- Successful criminal background check in compliance with Florida Statutes §435.04(2).
- FDLE‑approved background check upon hire.
- Experience as a law enforcement officer in a post‑secondary educational environment.
- Computer skills using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Publisher, Outlook, etc.).
Annual salary: $34,905 (approximately $17.90 per hour).
