What YOU will do:The Facilities Tradesman II is responsible for performing skilled and semi‑skilled maintenance, repair, and construction work to support the facilities and infrastructure of STE Pensacola Aerospace Inc. This position ensures building systems operate safely, efficiently, and reliably by applying technical knowledge across multiple disciplines, including carpentry, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and general building maintenance. Working under the direction of the Director of Facilities & Security, this role helps maintain a safe, efficient, and secure environment for all employees and visitors.
InThis Role YOU will:
- Perform skilled maintenance and repairs involving electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, and general building systems.
- Diagnose and correct facility and equipment issues promptly and cost‑effectively.
- Conduct preventive maintenance according to established schedules and maintain accurate service records.
- Safely operate and maintain hand tools, power tools, and specialized maintenance equipment.
- Support and maintain facility security systems such as door hardware, lighting, and access controls.
- Participate in building inspections, safety audits, and corrective action planning.
- Coordinate with external vendors, contractors, and service providers as directed.
- Prepare material and labor estimates for assigned work or special projects.
- Respond to on‑call and emergency maintenance requests outside of normal working hours when required.
- Maintain compliance with all company policies, OSHA regulations, and facility safety standards.
- Perform related duties and special projects assigned by the Director of Facilities & Security.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Completion of a technical or vocational training program in a related trade (plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, etc.) preferred.
- Minimum of three (3) to five (5) years of experience in facilities maintenance, general construction, or a related trade field required.
- Experience with commercial or industrial facilities is highly preferred.
