Now hiring Full-Time Marine Pipe fitters with at least 3+ years of SHIPYARD experience to work at/in the PENSACOLA MARINA.
JOB SUMMARY- Skilled tradesmen who can develop, lay out, fit, bolt up, assemble, and install pipe used in ship construction, alteration, and repair specified by blueprints, work orders, or supervisory instructions.
- Assist the pipefitter as a tacker-helper when required.
- Build and/or repair complete piping systems in a metal ship, including foundations, hawse pipes, ladders, masts, racks, railings, sea chests, stanchions, stowage’s, tanks, trunks, yardarms, pipe spools, and associated pumps, valves, and other components that form the ship’s systems.
- Repair and/or remove damaged ship piping systems, prepare surfaces for welding, burning, and lay out holes for drilling.
- Use miscellaneous hand and power tools.
- May be required to operate roll operators, punch operators, shear operators, track burners, drill, and saw machines.
- Arrange staging, crane service, ventilation, lighting, and support services (air, electricity, water).

PAYStarts at: $25+/hr (depending on level of experience).
SCHEDULEMON-THUR: 7:30am – 4:00pm
FRIDAY: 7:30am – 3:00pm
Overtime is typically available but NOT mandatory.
Working hours:
40 hours per week. Work that exceeds 40 hours is considered overtime and paid at time-and-a-half. A 10‑minute paid morning break is taken at 9:30am daily. A 30‑minute unpaid lunch break is provided daily from 11:30am to 12:00pm.

Essential Function: Identify and locate specific components, pipe stock, pumps, etc., to accomplish assigned daily tasks.
Physical Demands: The function primarily involves standing, walking, and carrying on a constant basis while preparing to complete the assigned job. The tacker will have to carry a 50‑foot welding line that can weigh up to 45 pounds. Multiple lines may need to be carried over distances within the working area. The number of times this function is performed in a given day will vary considerably;
a typical day might involve moving to multiple work areas.
Transportation: Each individual is responsible for providing or arranging their own transportation to and from the shipyard.
Safety Measures: When working from heights or around edges, employees must ensure adequate rails are in place to prevent falls. Rails must surround all deck openings according to OSHA regulations and the company’s policies. Employees are responsible for checking lanyards and harnesses before use in hazardous high locations. Employees must protect themselves from UV radiation and ensure sufficient ventilation in closed spaces.
Required Safety Equipment: Hard Hat, Safety Glasses, Ear Plugs, Safety‑toed Shoes. Respirators and fall protection are required when working in areas that need additional protection.
Standard Practice for All Employees: Employees may be required to perform other jobs beyond the essential functions of their primary role, such as assisting others with cleaning, picking up debris, or filling in temporarily for an absent employee.
