We are seeking an experienced Industrial Maintenance Technician to service and maintain equipment across multiple locations throughout the Florida Panhandle and southern Alabama.

This position is responsible for preventive maintenance, equipment troubleshooting, emergency repairs, and ensuring machinery remains safe and operational. The Industrial Maintenance Technician will travel between assigned locations and work closely with the Facilities Maintenance Manager, operational leadership, and location managers to address maintenance priorities while minimizing equipment downtime.

The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, proactive, dependable, and comfortable working independently in a fast-paced environment. A positive attitude, strong work ethic, attention to detail, and ability to complete projects from start to finish are essential.

Service Locations

This position will support locations in:

Fort Walton Beach, Florida

Pensacola, Florida

Saraland, Alabama

Regular travel between assigned locations is required.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, repairs, and servicing of industrial machinery and facility equipment.
  • Travel between multiple locations to complete scheduled maintenance and unscheduled equipment repairs.
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, repair, and test electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, plumbing, and welding-related systems.
  • Identify equipment failures and determine appropriate repair solutions.
  • Respond to urgent equipment breakdowns and minimize operational downtime.
  • Read and interpret equipment manuals, schematics, work orders, blueprints, and technical documentation.
  • Repair and maintain motors, pumps, conveyors, valves, piping, electrical components, and related equipment.
  • Perform basic fabrication and welding repairs when needed.
  • Operate hand tools, power tools, forklifts, ladders, and other maintenance equipment.
  • Complete maintenance work orders and document repairs, parts used, and services performed.
  • Maintain an organized inventory of tools, parts, and maintenance supplies.
  • Communicate repair status, equipment concerns, and maintenance recommendations to management.
  • Prioritize and manage multiple maintenance requests across assigned locations.
  • Follow all safety procedures, lockout/tagout requirements, PPE standards, and company policies.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
  • Participate in an on-call schedule and respond to after-hours maintenance needs.
  • Perform additional maintenance-related duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
  • At least five years of industrial maintenance experience.
  • At least five years of preventive maintenance experience.
  • At least three years of electrical troubleshooting and repair experience.
  • Ability to safely troubleshoot electrical systems up to 480 volts.
  • At least three years of commercial or industrial plumbing experience.
Working knowledge of at least four of the following areas:
  • Electrical systems
  • Mechanical systems
  • Plumbing
  • Welding and fabrication
  • HVAC

One to two years of trade school, technical training, or equivalent hands-on field experience.

Ability to diagnose and repair equipment with limited supervision.

Ability to read schematics, technical manuals, and equipment documentation.

Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.

Ability to travel regularly between assigned locations.

Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, overtime, and on-call hours.

Strong communication, organization, and time-management skills.

Ability to remain calm and work effectively during urgent equipment breakdowns.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Supervisory, lead technician, or team leadership experience.
  • Experience maintaining automated equipment, conveyor systems, pumps, motors, and water-related systems.
  • Welding and fabrication experience.
  • Experience using a computerized maintenance management system or electronic work-order system.
  • OSHA, electrical, HVAC, welding, plumbing, or other maintenance-related certifications.
  • Experience supporting multiple facilities or working in a regional field-service position.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 75 pounds.
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
  • Ability to bend, kneel, crouch, crawl, climb, twist, and perform repetitive motions.
  • Ability to climb ladders and work from elevated positions.
  • Ability to distinguish variations in color when working with electrical components.
  • Ability to safely operate maintenance tools and equipment.
Schedule
  • Full-time position.
  • Primarily Monday through Friday.
  • On-call responsibilities are required.
  • Weekend, evening, and overtime work may be required based on operational needs.
