Maintenance Technician / Mechanic, Electrician/ Electrician Installation
Pay: $21.00 - $30.00 per hour, depending on experience and skill level
CEREX Advanced Fabrics is seeking an experienced E&I Technician (Electrical & Instrumentation) to join our maintenance team. If you have a strong background in industrial electrical systems and enjoy troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining critical plant equipment, we want to hear from you.
In this role, you will install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical and instrumentation systems to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient plant operations. The ideal candidate will have at least three years of industrial or manufacturing E&I experience and experience working with PLCs, VFDs, MCCs, and switch gear.
Key Responsibilities- Install, maintain, and repair industrial electrical and instrumentation systems
- Troubleshoot motors, transformers, PLCs, control panels, MCCs, VFDs, and power distribution systems
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, loop diagrams, and technical manuals
- Perform preventive and predictive maintenance
- Coordinate repairs and downtime schedules with operations teams
- Manage spare parts inventory and support continuous improvement initiatives
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, NEC, and company safety standards
- High school diploma required
- Minimum 3 years of industrial/manufacturing E&I experience
- Strong understanding of industrial electrical systems
- Experience with PLCs, VFDs, MCCs, and switch gear
- Journeyman-level E&I experience preferred (certification a plus)
- Strong computer and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and work in industrial environments, including elevated temperatures
