Directional Bore Driller

Grid source is seeking a Horizontal Directional Drill Locator to join our team in Pensacola, FL.

3+ years of verifiable experience with locating equipment. Local applicants are preferred. Out of market applicants will be considered on a case-by-case basis Pre-Employment testing to include MVR, Drug Screen and Background.

All Applicants MUST be able to pass a DOT physical and have an acceptable driving record. Must be legally authorized to work in the United States - We participate in E Verify.

Grid source is seeking a Horizontal Directional Drill Locator interested in building a long-term career in the underground telecommunications / cable industry. Job consists of day-to-day drilling and pullback of various sized conduits for outside plant fiber networks. Most of our work is performed under master service agreements with telecom carriers and regional utilities. The work consists of new builds, maintenance, and restoration in rural and metro areas.

The scope of work varies between each job and candidates must be able to:

• Locate underground utilities and monitor locating process during drilling
• Read prints and demonstrate good judgement in the field
• Work as a team in tandem with supervisor, manager and other crew members
• Perform all duties adhering to company safety procedures and policies

• Operating drill and/or locating equipment: 3 years
• Operating Ditch Witch Drilling equipment (JT922 / JT20): 2 years
• Heavy Equipment Operator

Required to work within limited confines, such as crawl spaces, as needed.

• While performing the duties of this job, the Employee occasionally works near moving mechanical parts. The Employee must be able to work in an outdoor environment year around in all weather conditions. The Employee is occasionally exposed to the risk of electrical shock, radiation, and vibration.
• Employees may be required to work more than 40 hours per week and other than normal business hours, such as holidays, evenings and weekends as business demands.
