Webber - Pile Driver Operator - Heavy Civil

Job Description

Objective:
Pile Driver Operator will be responsible for operating and maintaining pile driving equipment as directed, with occasional operation on other types of light equipment, including forklift, skid steer, telehandler, or mini excavator.

• Operate Vermeer PD10 as required on site.
• Operate other equipment to move objects or material according to project needs.
• Perform routine maintenance, including lubricating, cleaning, and fueling.
• Observe equipment operation to detect machine malfunction.
• Read, understand, and apply operating manuals.
• Follow load capacity charts and ensure proper equipment support based on equipment capacity and type.
• Act as a leader and trainer on solar pile tasks and responsibilities.
• Always act in a professional manner.
• Maintain a daily production log.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities related to the nature of the job as assigned.

• High school diploma or GED.
• +1 year of experience in construction field, solar field preferred.
• +1 year of experience operating equipment.
• Valid driver's license.
• Knowledge of equipment and their uses.
• Ability to understand and abide by all operating safety regulations, procedures, and operations.
• Ability to read and interpret technical documents such as assembly procedures, installation manuals, operating and maintenance instructions.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Performance-driven.
• Demonstrated ability to work in a team.
• Good attention to detail, with ability to recognize discrepancies.
• Ability to follow prescribed safety regulations.
• Ability to move levers, shift gears, depress pedals, and maneuver steering wheel to operate equipment.
• Ability to frequently sit, stand, walk, crouch, kneel, climb and periodically lift up to 50 lbs.
