Overview
Velocity is looking to add a full-time OTR delivery driver. You will pull a variety of trailers carrying automotive parts and finished vehicles, follow all DOT and FMCSA rules, and deliver to the lower 48 states. Night and weekend driving, as well as scheduling maintenance, will be required. You will train to the Velocity process, delivery, and sales standards and be expected to drive a Ford F450 with a 48’ goose neck trailer.

Duties and Responsibilities
- Load, transport, and deliver parts, equipment, and vehicles locally and regionally.
- Ensure items to be picked up or delivered are accurate and undamaged.
- Maintain proper vehicle documentation and log all maintenance, vehicles, and travel logs for mileage, maintenance, and repairs.
- Perform routine maintenance checks and minor repairs to ensure the truck is in optimal condition; clean and maintain rigs as needed.
- Adhere to assigned routes and time schedules.
- Abide by all transportation laws and maintain a safe driving record.
- Operate equipment and machines such as trucks and forklifts.
- Train to the Velocity process, brand, and sales standards.
- Attend shows and set up marketing displays.
- Provide professional and courteous in‑person customer service while delivering vehicles.
- Other duties as assigned.

Skills and Abilities
- Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced environment while working independently.
- Valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and reliable transportation to and from work daily.
- Willingness to adhere to assigned routes, schedules, safety procedures, and transportation laws.

- Professional communication with managers, coworkers, and vendors.

- Availability to be on the road up to 24 days per month and ready on call within 24 hours notice.

- Pre‑employment drug screening required.
Pay Structure
- Base Pay: $0.60 per mile, covering loading, unloading, standard maintenance, repairs, and licensing.
- Show Days/Off Days
- Show Days: $250 per full show day.
- Off Days: $250 per day off while on the road, if applicable.
- Breakdowns: $250 per day after the first 6 hours of downtime created by maintenance issues while on the road.
- Bonus KPIs
- $50 bonus per load for each successful dealership condition form or $200 for each customer delivery walkthrough and tutorial/test drive resulting in a positive NPS/Google review.
Time Off
- Drivers are eligible to block off 30 days off per year, scheduled at least two weeks in advance.
- Drivers accrue 140 hours of PTO per year (11.67 hours per month) in lieu of paid holidays and Christmas week off. PTO is paid out at $35 per hour and must be taken in intervals of 8 hours.
- The remaining time is on‑call; drivers should be available to work unless the time off has been pre‑approved.
Expected Work Schedule
- Drivers are expected to be on the road for 22–24 days per month, depending on the delivery and event schedules.
- Maintain an on‑call schedule as needed for additional routes, show days, or emergencies.
