Sr Tax Manager

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Senior Tax Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in various areas such as, tax returns (Business, Individual, Trusts, Non-Profits), general ledger accounting, payroll, tax, and more. This position offers an exciting opportunity to become part owner.

• Manage a team of at least 8 tax return preparers.
• Prepare and review federal and state income tax returns for individuals, businesses, and organizations
• Conduct tax research and assist with tax planning strategies
• Collaborate with clients to gather necessary financial information for accurate tax filings
• Analyze financial statements to ensure compliance with tax regulations
• Provide guidance on tax implications of business decisions
• Assist in audits and communicate with tax authorities on behalf of clients

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA certification preferred
• 2+ years of experience in corporate accounting or tax-related roles
• Proficiency in technical accounting principles and practices
• Strong knowledge of estate planning, securities law, and corporate tax regulations
• Experience with accounts payable processes and general ledger accounting
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Conduct regular, professional meetings with clients (during tax season only) to discuss their tax return needs, provide expert advise, and ensure exceptional service delivery.
• Review and approve completed tax returns.
