Position Title
Administrative Assistant II (Temporary, Part-Time) – 19 hours a week
Peoria Public Works Department – temporary position.
Role OverviewProvide administrative support to Public Works Administrative Staff and customer service to internal and external customers. Perform data entry, correspondence, report preparation, record indexing, and general accounting functions.
Ideal Candidate- Process and review general personnel, payroll, financial and/or purchasing functions (timekeeping, A/P).
- Maintain and sort files and records (scanning, indexing).
- Generate routine and non-routine documents (reports, flyers, marketing materials, templates, survey, correspondence).
- Work with confidential documents.

QualificationsMinimum Requirements
Education: High school graduation or equivalency.
Experience: 2 years experience with comparable level 2 responsibilities. Considerable previous experience required in the same or similar previous positions. Sound knowledge of techniques, concepts, methods, practices.
Desirable QualificationsExperience in a municipal or government setting.
