The City of Peoria’s Neighborhood and Human Services Department has an excellent opportunity for a part‑time Administrative Assistant II. In this role, you will support daily operations while assisting staff and serving the public. This position provides administrative support and customer service to both internal staff and external customers by preparing correspondence and reports, maintaining records and databases, tracking projects and expenses, and assisting with routine accounting and purchasing tasks.
The role also supports departmental operations by processing personnel, payroll, and financial transactions; coordinating meetings and special projects; maintaining records; assisting with budget tracking; creating presentations, reports, and other documents; and helping train or guide other administrative staff when needed.
- Experience in a Municipal, State, or Federal government setting.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- The ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills when working with internal staff and the public.
