Position Overview:

The Product Design & Pattern Maker Assistant supports the Product Engineer with product development, pattern making, prototypes, and new design projects.

• Grasp project objectives and needs.
• Craft prototypes, drafts, and innovative design solutions.
• Collaborate with team members to bring designs to life and ensure seamless communication and coordination.
• Incorporate user feedback to enhance designs.
• Stay current on industry trends and advancements.
• Contribute throughout the design lifecycle, from concept to completion.
• Monitor production quality and provide feedback to help ensure established quality standards are maintained.
• Identify technical sewing challenges and assist with solutions to keep production on schedule.

• 1+ years of design project experience.
• Collaboration experience with sewing machine operators in a live production setting.
• Understanding sewing steps and ability to create tech-packs for products.
• Strong technical and problem-solving skills.
• Portfolio showcasing a strong foundation in product design and development principles.
• Proficiency in Accumark software.
• Knowledge of various textiles, including lightweight, stretch, nylon, cordura, and aramid fibers.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Self-motivated with a collaborative approach to teamwork.
• Commitment to maintaining professionalism and integrity in all interactions.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, independent work environment.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.

This position is based in an office and production environment and requires regular collaboration with Product Engineering, Production, and other team members.
