Special Ed Teacher - Peoria, Arizona

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A Special Education teaching opportunity is available for dedicated professionals passionate about supporting K-5 students in a resource setting. This full‑time position offers a chance to work onsite in a vibrant school environment from January 5, 2026, through May 21, 2026.

Location:

• Full‑time schedule (37.5 hours per week)
• Work hours:
  
  7:00 AM to 3:00 PM
• K-5 Resource classroom at the Lakin Prep location

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver individualized instruction and support to students with diverse learning needs
• Collaborate with general education teachers and support staff to create inclusive learning environments
• Develop and implement specialized lesson plans tailored to students Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Monitor student progress and update educational goals regularly
• Engage with families and caregivers to support student growth and achievement

Qualifications:

• Valid Arizona Special Education teaching license
• Current IVP Fingerprint Card is required to be included in the application
• Experience working with students in grades K-5, preferably in resource settings
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with students, families, and colleagues
