Pay Rate: $21 per hour
Schedule: Monday–Friday
Work Hours: To be determined during the interview process; within the range of 6:00 AM – 5:30 PM
Position SummaryThe Cost Accountant / Costing Analyst is responsible for ensuring accurate product costing, inventory valuation, and cost control within a manufacturing environment. This role maintains standard costs, bills of materials (BOMs), and routings; analyzes cost variances; and partners cross-functionally to support operational efficiency, profitability, and informed business decisions.
Key Responsibilities- Develop, maintain, and update standard costs, BOMs, and routings
- Analyze actual versus standard costs and investigate variances by product and job
- Collaborate with Engineering, R&D, Production, and Supply Chain to ensure BOM accuracy and support design changes
- Monitor material, labor, and overhead cost trends and provide actionable insights
- Prepare cost, variance, and gross margin reports
- Support new product development and cost modeling initiatives
- Perform inventory reconciliations, cycle counts, and reserve analysis
- Assist with month-end and year-end close activities
- Ensure compliance with cost accounting policies and internal controls
- Identify inefficiencies and recommend process improvements
- 2–5 years of cost accounting or financial analysis experience in a manufacturing environment
- Strong understanding of standard costing, variance analysis, and inventory accounting
- Experience with ERP/MRP systems
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Strong organizational and analytical skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Team-oriented with a proactive and adaptable approach
