Construction Review Administrator

• Oversee and participate in receipt and evaluation of construction-related due diligence items and equity verification during commercial real estate loan underwriting
• Coordinate loan closings and summarize findings in credit recommendations for Construction Loan Administration
• Engage and monitor third-party consultants for cost and constructability reports, monthly draw monitoring, payment applications, and site visits
• Initiate, perform, and/or review construction loan disbursements
• Interact daily with real estate clients, contractors, consultants, relationship managers, loan officers, and Columbia associates
• Analyze, review, and comment on construction loan agreements and related legal documents for CLA requirements, progress payments, credit approval, budgets, and schedules
• Review credit recommendations and applications for construction completeness and consistency with CLA policies and procedures
• Develop CLA credit documents and Credit Risk Certifications for assigned construction loans and review them with relationship managers before submission to Credit Quality
• Identify equity requirements, verification, and closing documentation; coordinate with Loan Administration and Loan Support Services
• Identify deficiencies and ensure corrections before recommendations and final acceptance
• Monitor due diligence requirements, including contractor analysis, plans and specifications, construction budgets, design professional endorsements, and construction contracts
• Monitor monthly draw requests and enter required information into CLA tracking systems
• Maintain compliance with bank regulations, policies, procedures, and required training
• Keep current on regulatory changes and maintain working knowledge of the Bank Secrecy Act, Regulation CC, Regulation E, Bank Security, and other applicable regulations
• Coach, mentor, train others, and teach coursework as a subject matter expert when requested
• Perform other duties as assigned

• 4–6 years of relevant construction, construction lending, credit analysis, and/or appraisal experience
• Bachelor's degree in architecture, civil or structural engineering, construction management, or similar preferred
• Ability to manage multiple projects and inquiries simultaneously and adapt to changing work
• Ability to read, review, and comment on complex loan documents, construction documents, specifications, contracts, and consulting agreements
• Analytical and problem-solving skills with in-depth knowledge of real estate and construction industry practices
• Written and verbal communication skills, including conflict resolution and document proofreading/editing
• Intermediate proficiency with personal computers and Microsoft Office, especially Outlook, Word, and Excel
• Ability to work effectively and collaboratively with individuals, groups, and departments across the company
• Ability or interest in training and presenting to small and large audiences
• Knowledge of Microsoft Project or other scheduling software desired but not required
• Knowledge of loan documents, construction documents, construction contracts, consulting agreements, AIA and AGC documents, appraisals, surveys, title reports, insurance requirements, and construction/real estate industry standards desired
• Occasional travel required

Demonstrates expertise in construction loan underwriting, credit analysis, and compliance with banking regulations. Proficient in managing multiple projects, analyzing complex loan documents, and collaborating effectively across teams.
