The City of Peoria, Arizona (recently named the #1 place to live, work, and play) is seeking a Principal Planner to join our Planning Department. This position performs complex professional planning work, leads or coordinates special projects, and provides guidance to professional planning staff. The Principal Planner directs and oversees work activities, monitors workflow, and reviews reports, documents, and recommendations with considerable independence.
This role is ideal for a candidate with strong urban planning expertise, leadership experience, and the ability to communicate technical regulations and policies clearly to a wide range of audiences.
