The City of Peoria, AZ is seeking a Police Recruit for its Police Department. This is a full-time position with a salary of $32.28 hourly. The location is 8351 West Cinnabar Avenue, Peoria, AZ 85345.
Education and Experience:- At least 21 years old by time of academy graduation
- Possess a High School Diploma or equivalent
- Be able to pass a police background check
- Be able to pass a polygraph test
- Be able to obtain an AZPOST certification
- Possess or able to obtain a valid AZ Driver's License.
The ideal candidate will have a passion for law enforcement and making a positive impact on the community, as well as committed to teamwork and delivering excellent customer service. The Police Recruit position within the Police Department performs the following tasks:
- Learn operations of the Police Department first-hand through observation and participation in a wide variety of police activities.
- Serve in a training capacity while attending the Police Academy.

- Wednesday, July 8, 2026
- Saturday, August 1, 2026
- Oral Boards:
- Wednesday, June 17, 2026
- Wednesday, July 15, 2026
- Thursday, August 6, 2026
