Salary Range: $19.60 – $20.96 per hour (actual compensation subject to experience, skills, education, and location).

The Patient Service Technician is responsible for delivering and picking up equipment from home‑care patients, ensuring equipment is set up and troubleshot, and maintaining vehicle and regulatory compliance.

• Delivers and picks up medical equipment from patients’ homes, installs equipment, and instructs patients on basic use.
• Schedules and organizes daily deliveries and pickups, planning routes and load/unload duties.
• Maintains vehicle and equipment compliance with regulatory requirements (hours of service, hazardous materials, vehicle inspection, etc.).
• Completes all necessary paperwork: delivery logs, pickup and delivery forms, reimbursement documents, and maintenance logs.
• Notifies supervisor of any unsafe home conditions, including physical abuse, unsanitary conditions, or animal hazards.
• Maintains daily vehicle maintenance logs and incident reports, and performs routine vehicle maintenance (gasoline, oil, tire pressure, brakes).
• Responds to emergency delivery calls and on‑call requests.
• Assists with cleaning and repair of equipment and performs related duties as directed.

• High‑school diploma or equivalent.
• At least one year of related work experience.
• At least 21 years of age.
• Minimum three years of driving history.

• Valid driver’s license.
• Completion of Apria Healthcare Driver Training Program.
• Compliance with D.O.T., F.D.A., and Joint Commission regulations.

Requirements include use of hands for writing and operating a vehicle, lifting 10–160 pounds on occasions, standing, walking, stooping, reaching, and keypad trades. Specific vision and hearing abilities are required. The position may involve operating a motor vehicle in varying weather.

Employee operates a delivery vehicle and visits patients’ homes, which may involve exposure to dust, fume, odors, and temperature extremes. Noise levels vary; personal protective equipment may be required. Work may involve cold conditions, chemicals, and transportation.
