Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Procurement Manager to lead procurement and supply chain operations within a manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for sourcing materials, equipment, goods, and services while managing supplier relationships, inventory planning, purchasing operations, and procurement strategies that support operational and production requirements. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership experience, a background in manufacturing procurement, and the ability to drive cost savings, supplier performance, and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities
  • Direct and manage procurement operations to ensure timely acquisition of materials and inventory availability.
  • Develop and implement procurement strategies, sourcing initiatives, and supplier management programs.
  • Analyze inventory levels, purchasing history, demand forecasts, and operational requirements to support purchasing decisions.
  • Review and approve purchase orders, supplier agreements, and procurement documentation.
  • Oversee inventory planning and procurement coordination to support production schedules and customer commitments.
  • Negotiate supplier contracts, pricing agreements, and vendor relationships.
  • Conduct supplier evaluations, pricing reviews, and vendor performance assessments.
  • Monitor purchase orders, supplier performance, lead times, and material availability.
  • Analyze procurement costs, market conditions, inventory trends, and operational data.
  • Collaborate with operations, production, inventory, accounting, warehouse, customer service, and management teams.
  • Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies, quality standards, and operational requirements.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and operational efficiency projects.
Additional Duties
  • Supervise procurement and supply chain personnel, including training and performance support.
  • Utilize ERP/MRP systems, procurement software, and Microsoft Office applications to support purchasing operations and reporting.
  • Prepare procurement reports, inventory analyses, vendor performance metrics, and operational forecasts.
  • Support risk management initiatives related to suppliers, inventory levels, and operational continuity.
  • Participate in procurement planning, operational meetings, and process improvement activities.
  • Maintain professionalism and confidentiality in all vendor and internal communications.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Operations, Procurement, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of procurement, purchasing, supply chain, or inventory management experience within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Strong knowledge of sourcing, procurement operations, vendor management, inventory planning, and purchasing procedures.
  • Experience with ERP/MRP systems and procurement software.
  • Strong negotiation, analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain productive vendor and cross-functional relationships.
  • Ability to travel as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous leadership or supervisory experience.
  • Experience with Syte Line ERP/MRP systems.
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001 quality standards and procurement compliance requirements.
  • Experience supporting manufacturing, industrial equipment, pump products, or distribution operations.
  • Experience developing procurement strategies, supplier agreements, and inventory optimization initiatives.
  • Experience with cost analysis, forecasting, benchmarking, and vendor performance management.
  • Knowledge of inventory forecasting, material planning, and production scheduling coordination.
  • Experience supporting continuous improvement and supply chain optimization initiatives.
