About the RoleWe’re looking for a Team Leader who thrives at the intersection of coaching, execution, and strategic leadership. You’ll be responsible for helping 20–40 agents grow their businesses while meeting clear performance standards tied to company systems and lead opportunities. You will coach and support the systems designed to eliminate friction and elevate performance.
This is not a behind-the-scenes management role. You’ll be on the front lines — coaching, training, and collaborating daily. You’ll guide agents through company initiatives like Zillow Preferred, Follow Up Boss, and power partner programs. You’ll foster a culture of curiosity, collaboration, and accountability. This role requires the ability to uphold clear standards, navigate direct performance conversations, and balance support with accountability.
You’ll be a visible, decisive leader responsible for execution, follow-through, and consistent results within your branch.
This position is responsible for expanding business development and market share of real estate agents in a designated market. The Team Lead focuses on building his/her agent team by using effective strategies to meet sales goals by providing exceptional customer service to our clients, customers, and partners. You are a natural leader who embraces succeeding through others, bottom-up leadership, and building a team.
You view learning as the foundation of your action plan. You possess strong communication skills and naturally connect with others.
- Coach 20 - 40 agents through 1:1s, huddles, and training sessions
- Support agents across all levels of experience with conversion, planning, and consistency
- Empower agents to eliminate friction and find flow in their businesses
- Set clear expectations around minimum activity, follow-up, and conversion, and coach agents toward consistent execution
- Implement company-level systems locally with energy and follow-through
- Drive adoption of tools like Follow Up Boss and performance-based lead distribution, using data and scorecards to influence behavior
- Collaborate with leadership to gather feedback and improve rollout effectiveness
- Monitor lead follow-up, conversion metrics, and agent scoreboards
- Assign opportunities based on merit, performance, and availability
- Identify coaching moments and process improvements
- Address underperformance early through direct feedback, coaching plans, and clear next steps
- Cultivate a high-trust, low-ego team culture
- Help attract agents who align with our values and vision
- Support retention by providing clarity, consistent expectations, growth paths, and accountability
- 3+ years of consistent production in residential real estate
- Coaching, leadership, or mentoring experience (preferred)
- Familiarity with CRM platforms like Follow Up Boss
- Understanding of Zillow Preferred performance systems (preferred)
- Clear communicator, proactive problem-solver, and team-first thinker
- Passion for helping others grow, with a mindset of curiosity and humility
- Comfortable navigating direct performance conversations and supporting agents in meeting clear expectations
- Base salary + performance-based bonus
