Job Title: Senior Distribution Center (DC) Manager

Location: On-Site

Reports To: Regional Operations General Manager

Employment Type: Full-Time, Exempt

Schedule: 24/7 operation; schedules vary based on volume and client needs. Weekend availability required.

Job Purpose

The Senior Distribution Center Manager provides strategic leadership and oversight for the facility’s end-to-end operations. This role is responsible for driving operational excellence, optimizing financial performance, ensuring regulatory and company compliance, and developing high-performing teams across multiple functional departments. The Senior DC Manager plays a key role in long‑term planning, continuous improvement, and delivering best‑in‑class service to internal and external customers.

Key Responsibilities Operational Leadership & Strategy
  • Lead all warehouse operations with a focus on achieving organizational goals related to financial performance, service quality, accuracy, and efficiency.
  • Develop strategic warehouse layouts, storage optimization plans, and material‑flow strategies using data‑driven insights on product velocity and handling requirements.
  • Oversee production planning, capacity management, and labor forecasting to ensure resources align with operational demands.
  • Own the distribution center’s financial reporting, budgeting, and cost‑control strategies.
  • Identify and drive cost‑saving opportunities while maintaining service and quality standards.
Inventory Control & Compliance
  • Ensure accuracy of all inventory records and compliance with corporate policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Oversee cycle counts, inventory audits, and full physical inventories; investigate variances and implement corrective actions.
  • Review inventory trends to address slow‑moving, excess, obsolete, or high‑risk products.
  • Establish and refine operational processes, SOPs, and performance standards across all departments.
  • Lead initiatives focused on improving workflow efficiency, throughput, accuracy, and overall productivity.
  • Collaborate cross‑functionally to align operational strategies with customer and internal business requirements.
  • Manage, mentor, and develop 4–12 department leaders and a workforce of 50–100 employees.
  • Oversee hiring, training, performance evaluations, coaching, corrective actions, and career development plans.
  • Promote a positive, collaborative culture by addressing employee concerns, enhancing engagement, and reinforcing recognition practices.
Communication & Cross‑Functional Alignment
  • Maintain strong communication with customers, corporate leadership, transportation partners, and internal teams.
  • Ensure timely fulfillment of operational commitments and proactive escalation of risks or service impacts.
Qualifications
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence at all levels.
  • Proven track record managing large teams in a high‑volume distribution or manufacturing environment.
  • Exceptional organizational, analytical, and decision‑making capabilities.
  • Ability to perform under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred; equivalent experience will be considered.
  • Bilingual in Spanish is a plus.
  • Deep knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory management, safety protocols, and industry best practices.
Work Environment &

Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand, walk, or sit for extended periods.
  • Frequent movement throughout all areas of the warehouse, including elevated or restricted spaces.
  • Exposure to environments with fluctuating temperatures.
  • Safe operation around powered industrial equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, reach trucks, clamps, and scissor lifts.
