We offer a cardiothoracic operating room nurse (CVOR Nurse) to support complex cardiac, vascular, and thoracic cases in hybrid‑capable suites. The role is patient‑first, embraces safety culture, Just Culture, and continuous improvement. Modern ORs, hybrid capabilities, AI‑assisted decision support, and streamlined EHR workflows enhance teamwork and professional practice.

The CVOR Nurse reports to the Perioperative Services Manager and works closely with Cardiac Surgery Service Line leadership, charge nurses, educators, and clinical nurse specialists.

• Circulate and, when trained, scrub for cardiac and major vascular procedures.
• Champion sterile technique, driving on‑time starts and safe turnovers.
• Coordinate handoffs to CVICU.
• Participate in on‑call rotations.
• Contribute to evidence‑based practice projects.
• Mentor peers within a welcoming, team‑first culture.
