Copa Health is seeking a compassionate, mission-driven Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) to join our West Valley Integrated Outpatient Clinic team. This role provides the opportunity to deliver high-quality, person-centered psychiatric care in an integrated, community-based setting. The ideal candidate is passionate about serving individuals with serious mental illness (SMI) and co-occurring conditions and thrives in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, diagnosis, and ongoing medication management for adults.
- Manage complex mental health conditions including mood disorders, psychotic disorders, anxiety disorders, trauma-related conditions, and co-occurring substance use disorders.
- Prescribe and monitor psychotropic medications, including long-acting injectables and medication-assisted treatment (MAT), in accordance with best practice standards.
- Collaborate closely with therapists, case managers, nurses, and primary care providers to ensure integrated, whole-person care.
- Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant documentation within the electronic health record.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings, quality initiatives, and performance improvement activities.
- Provide education to members and families to promote treatment adherence, recovery, and wellness.
Qualifications
- Current and valid RN and APRN license in the State of Arizona.
- Board certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC).
- Active DEA registration (or ability to obtain upon hire).
- Experience in community behavioral health, outpatient psychiatry, or integrated care preferred.
- Experience treating individuals with SMI and co-occurring disorders strongly preferred.
- Comfortable managing high-acuity cases and meeting productivity and quality standards.
