Supervises, assesses, plans, coordinates, facilitates, and evaluates patient care and staff development; determines and maintains unit or program needs and standards (using nursing process and evidence‑based information). Assumes responsibility and accountability for incorporating the vision, values, mission, and critical goals of the organization into their job performance. Assists the Clinical Director in the management of the unit's assigned staff and patient population.

Will provide direct patient care according to needs of the unit/program and collaborates with physicians in executing the medical plan of care.

Oversees staff and ensures adequate patient care, including hiring/onboarding, evaluating and managing performance, coaching, and developing employees to maintain productivity, quality of work, and alignment of goals with mission and values. Establishes or contributes to care plans, administers medication, manages IV lines, administers therapies and treatments, observes patients and records observations, and consults with physicians and other clinicians. Ensures compliance with policies, financial stewardship, and the department budget.

Serves as a resource to staff, patients, families, caregivers, physicians, and visitors to improve patient experience and clinical outcomes, and promotes a healthy work environment. Teaches patients and families self‑management of illnesses or injuries, diet, nutrition, exercise, and medication administration. Facilitates inter‑departmental collaboration and problem‑solving, participates in policy revisions and committees, and supports quality improvement initiatives. Directs staff in the application of the nursing process and coordinates patient care.

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN, BScN) from an accredited NLN/CCNE institution (required)
• Legally licensed as a registered nurse in the State of Arizona (required)

• 2 years Registered Nurse (RN) experience (required)
• 3 years Registered Nurse (RN) experience (preferred)

• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification (required)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider Training Course (required)
• Registered Nurse (RN) license, State Licensure and/or Compact State Licensure (required)
• Must obtain a certification in the respective area of expertise within 1 year of hire or promotion for magnet standards (required)
