Overview
The Salvation Army (TSA) Adult Rehabilitation Center (ARC) is a no-fee program to assist men and women in completing the rehabilitation program. The organization relies on the dedication of its employees to maintain and effect the programs. The ARC is partnered with its Retail Team at the Sun City Thrift Store to support the Adult Rehabilitation Program.

Store Manager – Responsibilities- Planning and directing the day-to-day operations of the assigned store location.
- Developing strategies to improve customer service, drive store sales and increase profitability as projected by budget and goals.
- Ensure customer, donor, and community needs are met; manage complaints; ensure service is quick and efficient.
- Schedule store employees to ensure appropriate coverage in-store and at the donation center; coordinate daily morning and shift change team meetings.
- Supervise employees to ensure compliance with directives and guidelines.
- Recruiting, interviewing, and processing for hiring new store employees.
- Provide training for new personnel on store policies and procedures.
- Issue disciplinary actions, conference reports, employee evaluations and goals.
- Maintain store and inventory levels; ensure regular and accurate Rag Out from the sales floor.
- Back Room Processing (BRP) – ensure material handlers work effectively to meet daily processing goals.
- Manage cash handling at start of day, safeguard cash in registers and safe, and bank cash receipts per ARCC policy.
- Process paperwork related to Time and Attendance compliance.
- Attend Monthly District Meetings and conduct Store Monthly Meetings to keep personnel informed of new policies.
- Establish and maintain safety measures; conduct Weekly Store Meetings with the store team.
- Implement appropriate loss prevention measures.
- Perform other duties as assigned by Management.
- High School diploma/GED or equivalent.
- Minimum of 2 years of Retail Management/Supervisory experience.
- Ability to accurately handle POS/cash register operations and cash transactions.
- Valid Driver’s license with proof of insurance.
- Must pass background check, including Criminal History and Sex Offender Registry.
- Effective communication with management, staff, customers, and donors.
- Ability to sit, walk, stand, bend, squat, climb, kneel, and twist as required.
- Ability to grasp and move objects such as files, carts, racks, and fixtures.
- Ability to move product up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to perform repetitive motion tasks.
- Must be able to perform duties with or without reasonable accommodation.
Stores operate 7 days per week. Work schedules are determined by Management. Employees must be flexible to ensure adequate store coverage. Full-time associates may be scheduled for evenings, weekends, and holidays.
