Position Summary

We are seeking entry‑level, full‑time sales associates for our pawn store locations nationwide. The Pawnbroker / Retail Sales Associate partners with all staff to ensure excellent customer service on both the lending and retail sides of the business. They greet, engage, and interact with customers to process sales, loans, and other transactions, handling a wide variety of merchandise, including items, electronics, firearms (in FFL locations) and more.

The position offers an hourly wage plus commission based on productivity. The employee’s pay is based on location, qualifications, and experience.

Responsibilities
  • Greets and interacts with all customers to develop rapport and recommend appropriate financial solutions.
  • Performs non‑management open/close procedures.
  • Maintains a clean, stocked sales floor and displays merchandise.
  • Processes sales and loan transactions in accordance with policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Handles all cash and negotiable items per established policies.
  • Answers incoming calls per company standards.
  • Communicates legal aspects of pawn and buy transactions to customers.
  • Communicates effectively with coworkers and managers, using respectful communication.
  • Partners with all employees to create a positive and memorable customer experience.
  • Completes assigned training successfully.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements and Qualifications
  • Willing and able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Willing and able to perform duties involving prolonged standing, stooping, walking, climbing, pushing, pulling, and lifting.
  • Ability to work with firearms and obtain firearms certification.
  • May be asked to assist a customer outside the building or retrieve items from exterior storage.
  • Minimum age 18 years.
  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
  • Strong desire to work, serve customers, and be team‑oriented.
  • Ability to multi‑task in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Basic math proficiency.
  • Cash‑handling experience preferred.
  • Willingness to work in multiple locations as needed.
  • Flexible retail schedule, including weekends and holidays.
  • Computer‑literate and able to operate point‑of‑sale (POS) systems and common office machines.

The employee commission incentive plan is proprietary. Pawnbrokers may earn 2‑8 % commission based on the gross profit of their performance. Details are provided during the interview process.
