Responsibilities- Prospect potential new clients within the target market, including pool & spa retailers, pool builders, and maintenance firms.
- Make cold calls and market to prospective clients.
- Follow up and qualify sales leads.
- Conduct professional presentations on products and programs.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key customer personnel.
- Identify client needs and provide quotes and product data as needed.
- Close sales and follow through to ensure appropriate delivery.
- Support operations and accounts receivable efforts.
- Collaborate with sales center, regional, and divisional managers to grow the business.
- Complete internal reports and paperwork in a timely fashion.
- Minimum two (2) years of professional‑level business‑to‑business sales experience.
- Proven track record of successful sales in a wholesale environment.
- Ability to cold call prospective clients.
- Strong knowledge of one or more of the following product lines: pool‑related equipment, plumbing supplies, tile, decking, exterior lighting, patio furniture, construction materials, building supplies, chemicals, landscaping/irrigation supplies, HVAC supplies, or similar tangible goods.
- Valid driver’s license, satisfactory driving record (no more than two violations within three years), and willingness to travel within a designated area.
- Occasional lifting and moving of up to 75 pounds.
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office Word and Excel; knowledge of AMP or similar customer‑management system preferred; knowledge of Prelude or similar inventory control software helpful.
- Minimum age eighteen (18) years.
