This position will consist of the repair and maintenance of fleet equipment for our telecom operations. The equipment will include, but not be limited to, trucks, drills, trailers, backhoes, mini exes, etc. This position is primarily in a shop/yard setting, with site service calls as needed.
What Do You Offer Us?- Perform job tasks in a safe manner in accordance with company policy
- Ability to change oil in crew trucks and haul trucks and equipment where needed
- Ability to diagnose, repair, and maintain equipment/vehicles independently in field environments.
- Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision.
- Will travel to various job sites to diagnose and repair equipment as needed.
- Perform general maintenance (tire rotation, brake servicing, apply decals, etc. on all equipment)
- This position will require the operation of a forklift
- Ability to pull, lift and carry heavy objects
- Must be able to move about in an around construction vehicles and equipment.
- Ability to crawl over and under construction vehicles and equipment.
- Flexibility of working long hours and the ability to work in all types of weather conditions
- Maintain a clean work area and pick up all tools and equipment to secure the work area each day
- Documents all maintenance and repairs on work order forms
- Welding and Fabrication
- Communications with the Fleet Coordinator and Operations for updates on repairs
- Install telematics (GPS) in all equipment
- All other duties as assigned

- A Valid Driver’s License is required. CDL is a plus!
- Experience in the telecom industry is preferred
- Must be reliable and able to work in a team environment.
- Ability to perform physically demanding work which includes lifting, carrying, crouching, and crawling.
- Must have good manual dexterity, hand-eye coordination, and balance.
- Must provide your own tools to perform repairs.
