AZTEC is looking for a full-time Maintenance Technician to join our team. The Maintenance Technician is responsible for the maintenance and repair of all AZTEC property (vehicles, equipment, and buildings).
Responsibilities- Complete maintenance and repairs at all company sites. Notify the supervisor of any repairs or unsafe conditions that have not been previously reported. Examples may include repairing drywall, painting, appliance repairs, furniture repair, tiling etc.
- Light lawn maintenance including but not limited to bush trimming, tree trimming, and weed control.
- Ensure all company vehicles that stay outside are in the vehicle compound area with windows up and doors locked.
- Notify supervisor of any equipment breakdowns, preventative services needed and any potential safety hazards of AZTEC equipment.
- Notify supervisor of any materials needed to complete assigned tasks.
- Maintain the maintenance petty cash pouch.
- Perform minor repairs and maintenance of all company vehicles.
- Assist in all company vehicle breakdowns.
- Perform maintenance and repairs on all company equipment.
- Assist supervisor in maintaining storage area in a clean and organized manner.
- Aware of and follow basic safety skills to avoid injury of self or others.
- Be on-call when necessary.
- Additional duties as assigned.
High School Diploma or G.E.D. Certificate required.
ExperiencePrefer experience in household appliance, plumbing, and electrical repair, as well as minor construction, remodeling, and vehicle maintenance.
Knowledge- Equipment/appliance operation, use of power and hand tools.
- Knowledge in ADA and OSHA regulations preferred.
- Must possess and maintain a Level-One Fingerprint Card.
- Attention to detail.
- Ability to relate tactfully with staff and others.
- Ability to work independently.
- Ability to perform minor plumbing, electrical, appliance, and drywall repairs.
- Ability to make judgment decisions on material use and purchasing.
- Ability to use power and hand tools.
- MUST have own tools.
- MUST work a flexible work schedule.
- MUST have own vehicle in good working condition, truck preferred.
- MUST keep insurance on vehicle per Arizona state law.
- Must drive AZTEC vehicles in a safe and careful manner, following all Arizona Department of Transportation laws, as well as applicable AZTEC Policies & Procedures.
- Must maintain an Arizona Class D driver license and satisfactory driving record. Notify Personnel Department of any infractions/suspensions/citations affecting driving record. (Loss of ability to be an authorized AZTEC driver may result in a re-assignment or termination.)
- Must be able to stand for at least six (6) hours per day.
- Must be able to lift a minimum of fifty (50) pounds.
- Must be able to lift a minimum of twenty-five (25) pounds over head.
- Must be able to climb stairs.
- Must be able to repeatedly squat, bend, kneel.
