Field Service Technician

We've partnered with a growing renewable energy manufacturer to find a Field Service Technician who wants to be out in the field, commissioning solar installations, training crews, and solving problems on-site. If you're hands-on, independent, and comfortable working across remote project sites, this one's for you!

• Train installation teams on correct build methods
• Verify installations meet quality standards, including golden row checks
• Perform start-up and commissioning on new builds
• Inspect wiring, mechanical connections, and overall system condition
• Power up systems, set required parameters, and confirm proper operation
• Troubleshoot mechanical and electromechanical issues
• Carry out mechanical, electrical, and software repairs at job sites
• Write site reports and monitor system performance

• 2+ years of technical degree or equivalent field experience preferred; 2+ years of industry experience
• Basic electromechanical concepts knowledge
• Ability to read and interpret plans and technical specifications
• Proficient with field tools, including pliers, crimps, strip tools, testers, and screwdrivers
• Strong teamwork and collaboration skills
• Clear written and verbal communication
• Analytical and quantitative thinking
• Travel frequently to project sites across the region (80-85%)

• Experience working on utility-scale solar or renewable energy projects
• Background in field commissioning or systems verification
• Comfort working in varied outdoor conditions, including heat, rain, and wind
